Juice Plus+ Has Entered My Back to Basics Plan

I have to admit that I really do not eat healthy and or do a lot to change that. In the last couple of months I am trying to change that but I am pretty set in my ways. I know now that for me to not only lose the weight I want to but also to accomplish some of the goals I have I need to eat a lot better. A major area that I am very lacking in is fruits and vegetables. I’m not a big fan of either and have not been for most of my life. So as part of my back to basics effort I am at least exploring these more and really trying to make them a part of my overall diet.
I realized at the end of last year that now and even when I am eating better that I will need to supplement  my diet some with vitamins and possible other supplements. I came to that realization while reading one of my wife’s magazines over the holidays. The article was in my wife’s Juice Plus+ distributor magazine for those who sell or disturbed the national nutritional product. The article was on Dave O’Brien and his attempt to run the 4 Deserts race series. I have just finished the Dean Karnazes book Run! That also dealt with the 4 Desert race series and his running and completing the series in one year. The article was an entertaining one that also had a message. The message was on the nutritional elements and how important they are for not only normal day life but also for such endurance races. What O’Brien used during these races was an increased amount of his daily Juice Plus+. The article sparked my interest enough to do more research and give them another try.
The ironic part of all of this is my wife has been a distributor for the Juice Plus+ Company for several years. Both kids and my wife take the product daily and I am (or was) the hold out in the family. Over the years she had tried to get me to try them and or make them a part of my daily routine. I half heartily tried them a few times but never really gave them a chance until the start of the New Year. Since then I have been taking both a daily multi vitamin and a couple each of the Juice Plus+® Orchard and Garden Blend Chewables . After a few days I was use to them and they are a normal part of my breakfast each day. So yes, I have been finally brought into the fold with the rest of the family.
So what is Juice Plus+ and what is different about their product? Per their web site they describe their products this way:
Despite the growing medical evidence, less than 25% of American adults eat the recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables. There is no substitute for eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, at least 7-13 servings every day. But if you're like most people, you don't eat enough fruits or vegetables or enough variety. And those fruits and vegetables that we do eat tend to be over processed, over-cooked, or too far removed from the field. That's why there's Juice Plus+. It's a convenient, affordable, and natural whole food based nutritional product providing nutrition from 17 vegetables, fruits, and grains.
Juice Plus+ is not a vitamin supplement, providing a limited number of handpicked nutrients. Juice Plus+ is a whole food based product providing the wide array of nutrients found in a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grains. It's the next best thing to fruits and vegetables...because we don't get nearly enough of the real thing every day.

I do think they are helping with my overall nutrition. I have felt better and know that taking these is simply way to help supplement my diet. Once the mileage picks up in the next few months I do plan on increasing the amount of the Juice Plus+ that I take daily.
So I wanted to at least share my early success with these Juice Plus+ supplements. If anyone is interested in more information or ordering them, please let me know. My wife as I said is a distributor and she would be more than happy to be your contact for the product.
